Shin and Tomoko Azumi, both Japanese designers, met whilst studying at Kyoto City University of Art. After graduation they have move to live and work in London since 1990s, to complete their studying at the Royal College of Art, London.
Their aim was to “change people’s behaviour in a subtle way’’ through their design, by making slight changes to existing shapes and forms.
The Lem stool is one of their most popular items and reflects their ethos by using one continuous form that constitutes the seat, foot rest and slight back which have a perfect distance between them to promote comfortable seating.
